Synthetic biologists are increasingly using co-culture systems, but tools to control the composition of subpopulations are lacking. We designed a co-culture with signal translator and growth controller modules where culture composition autonomously adjusts in response to the AI-2 QS molecule.
Among the numerous SpCas9 variants that previously reported, we compared 13 variants to provide guidance to researchers. We developed a computational tool that predicts the activities of the variants to provide insights in selecting the most appropriate variants for their own research purposes.
